All Over The Place With No Clear Direction
My brain is all over the place. I can’t focus on one particular thing right now. I actually have the house to myself for a little while, since my husband and the boys went to watch the basketball game down the street at my sister-in-law and brother-in-law’s house. At first I felt selfish and antisocial for requesting to stay home and not go with them. But once I mentioned having to still write my blog tonight and wanting to plan out my week so I can actually accomplish some things this summer, my husband completely understood and recommended that I do stay home.
The bad thing is they’ve probably been gone an hour and a half and I’m just now beginning to write. As soon as they left, I found myself doing chores. I watered the Agapanthuses and then found myself attempting to repair the hose spray attachment since it was squirting everywhere except the flower bushes. Unfortunately I was unable to fix that attachment, eventually I gave up and found the new one we just purchased at Home Depot today.
After finally watering the bushes, I wandered into the kitchen feeling hungry and remembering that I needed to cook some chicken I thawed. That’s when I saw the disaster of a kitchen we had and set to work attempting to clear the counters and the kitchen sink so I would have some room to prepare dinner for myself. 20 or so minutes later, I had a decent amount of work space and got ready to cook the chicken. The recipe was called “Chicken Curry in a Hurry”, it claimed it only took 30 minutes to prepare, well that is never the case with me. I swear most recipes take me twice as long as the time listed in the recipes.
Once my dinner was finished and I had a chance to eat it, I sat down at this laptop and again found myself wandering away from writing my blog. Instead of beginning to write like I had intended, I decided to install the software to the new fancy camera my husband bought me on Friday. Of course the install was not without hiccups, I don’t think it actually completed the install. Finally I was tired of waiting for it to download and switched over to this page and began to write what I have so far.
It’s certainly not the best blog I’ve ever written, in fact it’s really not any good, but it does explain where a lot of my time gets lost. My family is now back at home and I’m still not finished writing and I have a kitchen to clean yet again.
With one week down of my summer vacation and only six weeks left to go, I better make a plan of attack and stick to it, otherwise I’m going to be writing the sad story of how I had seven weeks off and didn’t get anything done. I most definitely don’t want to do that. Until next week…which hopefully will be a blog worth reading with fancy pictures too.
